Monrovia, Liberia – The Civil Service Agency (CSA) of Liberia has embarked on a transformative journey towards enhancing the skills and capacities of government employees with the commencement of a 4-day strategic internal training on professional development.
Twenty participants from various divisions, including mainline entities of the agency, have been selected to partake in this intensive training program aimed at equipping them with essential skills to excel in their roles within the civil service.
Addressing attendees at the opening ceremony of the training, Mr. Josiah Joekai, the Director-General of the Civil Service Agency, urged staff members to fully embrace the opportunities presented during the four-day training period. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the skills and knowledge gained to drive positive change within their respective departments and contribute effectively to the government’s agenda for national development.
Mr. Joekai reiterated the agency’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism within the civil service, emphasizing the pivotal role that well-trained and motivated employees play in advancing the government’s objectives.
The training curriculum covers a diverse range of topics crucial for professional growth and organizational effectiveness, including customer service management, emotional intelligence, managing workplace change, proposal writing skills, rule of law, team building, and time management. These courses have been carefully selected to address the evolving needs of government employees and empower them to perform their duties with efficiency and effectiveness.

The training, which is being conducted at the Civil Service Training Center, is scheduled to take place from May 13th to May 17th, 2024.
