Monrovia— The government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Agriculture, is set to unveil its recently adopted National Agriculture Development Agenda. This comprehensive plan aims to significantly enhance the production of rice, maize, and vegetables over the next six years, marking a major step towards self-sufficiency and food security in the country.
Scheduled for launch this Wednesday, the National Agriculture Development Agenda has been meticulously crafted to steer investment into the agriculture sector, which is vital for Liberia’s economic growth and sustainability. Agriculture Minister Dr. Alexander Nuetah highlighted the strategic importance of this plan during a press briefing. “The National Agriculture Development Agenda is designed to channel investments into key areas of our agriculture sector, focusing on the cultivation of rice, maize, and vegetables. These crops are essential for our food security and economic resilience,” Dr. Nuetah stated.
